Service Business Manager

As a Service Business Manager at Instron, you will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of our service business in Germany. This role requires a strong understanding of our customers' needs and a proven track record of developing and executing business strategies to meet those needs.
Key Responsibilities- Key Account Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our key accounts, understanding their needs and requirements.
- Identify opportunities to grow our service business with these accounts.
- Service Business Development
- Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth and profitability of our service business in Germany.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and new customers.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of service professionals to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to meet their business objectives.
- Develop and implement training programs to improve team performance.
- Financial Management
- Manage the IPS Germany P&L, including inventory and forecasting, to ensure achievement of service revenue and margin targets.
- Develop and manage budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Customer Experience
- Ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and support.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Qualifications
- Degree level or equivalent qualification in Engineering.
- Full clean German driving license.
- Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role, managing teams driven by objectives and financial targets.
- Good financial understanding and experience managing budgets and full P&L.
- A successful track record of selling profitable and sustainable service products.
- Skills
- Ability to understand and sell technical service products.
- Negotiation and commercial contract management skills.
- Forecasting and budgeting skills.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Role will be office and field based, with up to 60% travel required.
- A variety of office and factory environments with limited physical discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust etc.
