Service Business Development Manager

At Instron, we are seeking a highly skilled Service Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our service business in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Develop Key Accounts: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our key accounts, understanding their needs and requirements, and identifying opportunities to grow our service business.
  • Grow Service Revenue: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, penetrate competitor accounts, and recover previous customers to drive revenue growth.
  • Lead the German Service Team: Provide management and leadership to the German service team, ensuring goals are met and the team is equipped to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
  • Financial Management: Manage the IPS Germany P&L, including inventory and forecasting, to ensure achievement of service revenue and margin targets.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the company's efforts to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance the customer experience through process improvement and the use of the ITW Toolbox.
  • Represent Instron: Represent Instron at Instron Germany GMBH management team meetings and ensure compliance with all relevant local legislation.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree level or equivalent qualification in Engineering and a full clean German driving license.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, managing teams driven by objectives and financial targets, with a successful track record of selling profitable and sustainable service products.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to understand and sell technical service products, manage key accounts, and build relationships.

Working Conditions:

  • Role will be office and field-based, with up to 60% travel required.
  • A variety of office and factory environments with limited physical discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust, etc.
