Global Category Director for Product Protection and Growth

Symrise, a leading provider of ingredients for personal care products, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to assume a pivotal role in driving growth and innovation in our Micro Protection Business Unit within the Cosmetic Ingredients Division.
This strategic position will allow you to leverage your expertise in product management, business development, and market analysis to drive growth and profitability while ensuring compliance and innovation.
Your Key Responsibilities- Lead the strategic management of our Product Protection Category, driving growth and profitability while ensuring compliance and innovation.
- Refine and implement global strategies for the Product Protection Category, focusing on market analysis and competitive advantage.
- Provide effective leadership to motivate and inspire the Product Management team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Manage the Product Protection portfolio with the support of Global Product Managers, ensuring healthy growth and profitability.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive advantages, informing business development strategies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to ensure compliance, protect intellectual property, and optimize production processes.
- Drive business development efforts by establishing promotional campaigns, coordinating marketing communication, and managing strategic projects alongside sales teams.
- Master's Degree in Science, Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Several years' experience in the cosmetics industry, including successful years in product management of cosmetic ingredients.
- Prior experience in people management is preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a portfolio of cosmetic ingredients and demonstrates exceptional project management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Adept at collaborating with diverse teams.
- Ability to travel between 10-20% maximum.
