Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our Biomolecular Analysis Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality software products in an agile environment. Your expertise in software development, investigation of new technologies, and coordination of product/process design work will be essential in building innovative products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop software that collaborates with newly developed analytical instruments, working within a multi-disciplinary project team.
- Develop embedded software components that run in Linux environments on newly developed analytical instruments.
- Design and develop web applications in an Agile Scrum or Kanban lifecycle.
- Develop front-end software that interacts with a back-end via web protocols, running on a Windows environment.
- Take ownership for quality and timely delivery of products.
- Work in a mixture of on-site and remotely.
Requirements
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent with sufficient industry experience.
- Experience in software design and development of standalone or client/server software products, using web applications frameworks such as Angular, Typescript, and Javascript.
- Experience with backend Microsoft technologies such as C#,.NET Framework, and.NET Core.
- Experience with database technologies, SQL, PostgreSQL, and Entity Framework Core. Data design, transmission, serialization, and storage of structured data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work across multiple functions, businesses, and geographies.
- Knowledge of analytical instrumentation or life sciences markets.
- Experience working with Atlassian products (BitBucket, Confluence, JIRA), or in a Scrum team with Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in designing future-proof software architectures, including object-oriented programming methodologies and practices.
- Hardware integration experience or interest is highly appreciated.
