We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Research & Development team based in Waldbronn, Germany.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mechanical design for automated electrophoresis instrumentation during development through product release.
- Actively participate in cross-functional project team meetings during product development.
- Present technical concepts and designs to project teams during design reviews.
- Solve and analyze technical issues in depth to understand core problems and provide sound solutions.
- Support manufacturing if needed for improvement projects after products are released.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years extensive work experience in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency with 3D parametric CAD modeling software, preferably Siemens NX CAD.
- Experience in designing, building, and testing new products in an R&D environment utilizing relevant industry standards and engineering guidelines.
- Good understanding of common manufacturing processes as well as manufacturing methods and production-oriented design.
- Experience in designing optical systems would be an advantage.
- Self-starter in conceptualizing and designing novel products, component design, or concepts.
- Good English and German communication skills.
- Exciting and inspiring projects in multi-functional teams.
- Training on the job in a motivated, dynamic R&D team.
