Role Summary
The Life Sciences Operations Specialist will play a critical role in facilitating order, supply, and distribution processes, ensuring timely execution of business transactions, and maintaining compliance across the entire value chain for Cell & Gene Therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute specific business transactions (e.g., sales orders, purchase orders) to ensure seamless order processing.
- Monitor and manage end-to-end operations to identify and resolve potential issues within the transactional value chain.
- Provide reliable support for system and interface-related challenges during daily operations.
- Deliver training and guidance on applicable system procedures while sharing best practices.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration across various departments.
- Analyze performance metrics and develop comprehensive solutions by understanding operational processes and tools.
- Act as the primary business support for coordinating system-related issues in daily logistics operations.
- Work closely with the master data team to ensure the accuracy of essential data for the Cell and Gene Therapy Platform.
- Manage exceptions and coordinate the execution of exception handling protocols.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure smooth and compliant execution of the virtual treatment journey, including data, transactions, and documentation for complex individualized therapies.
- Implement continuous improvement practices to achieve operational excellence in quality, cost, and compliance.
- Engage in cross-functional initiatives to drive process and performance enhancements.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain proactive communication with various stakeholders to align daily operations and ensure high levels of customer service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology or a related discipline.
- Fluency in English (both verbal and written).
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods sectors.
Essential Skills
- Deep understanding of SAP ERP systems and EDI interfaces, with a willingness to learn new platforms.
- Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain processes, including customer service and vendor management.
- Proven ability to navigate complex problems and deliver innovative solutions.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in project management within cross-functional teams, particularly in CGT operations.
