Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Business Lawyer (Wirtschaftsjurist) or Paralegal to become an integral part of our Legal and Compliance division in Frankfurt. The ideal candidate will deliver extensive legal assistance to our corporate functions, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and contributing to our strategic goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Company Secretarial Office in organizing Governance Board and Committee meetings.
  • Offering company secretarial support to European regulated corporate entities and their branches.
  • Aiding in the drafting and upkeep of corporate governance documentation.
  • Supporting both annual and ad hoc legal and regulatory submissions, as well as commercial register applications and filings.
  • Addressing due diligence inquiries and general questions regarding Jefferies' European entity information.
  • Coordinating with external legal advisors, regulatory bodies, and auditors as required.
  • Performing legal research and analysis.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in relevant laws and regulations, and communicating their potential implications for the organization.
  • Additional support areas may include commercial contracts, privacy matters, and strategic initiatives, depending on the applicant's qualifications and interests.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent legal professional experience. A Master's degree or additional qualifications in corporate or financial law will be advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the capability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented setting.
