About the Role:

The Procurement & Supplier Quality (MP) division at Mercedes-Benz Cars is tasked with managing a substantial annual purchasing volume, ensuring the quality of components for all vehicle models. Collaborating with numerous suppliers both domestically and internationally, this department plays a crucial role in supplying the necessary materials for production facilities worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain comprehensive insights into the procurement process, including global supplier selection, request for quotations, bid analyses, contract negotiations, and finalization.
  • Engage with international partners and manage both internal and external projects.
  • Participate in current awarding phases and tenders.
  • Assist in the preparation, coordination, and follow-up of meetings and workshops.

The specific topic of your thesis will be determined in collaboration with your university and our team.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in economics, industrial engineering, engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating commitment and teamwork.
  • Possess an analytical mindset and a strategic approach to tasks.
