Your Role: Business Development Manager

  • New Client Acquisition: Identify and secure new business clients within the international logistics and freight forwarding sectors.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analyses to pinpoint growth opportunities and emerging trends within the logistics industry.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Craft and execute effective sales strategies aimed at increasing revenue and expanding our customer base.
  • Industry Engagement: Actively participate in relevant industry events to network and build brand awareness.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients through regular meetings and needs assessments.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations and finalize deals that align with company objectives and policies.
  • Operational Support: Provide assistance in operational processes, including customs clearance and container coordination.
  • Communication & Planning: Collaborate with shipping lines, terminals, and develop strategic supplier relationships.

Your Profile:

  • Completed vocational training in freight forwarding/logistics services.
  • Several years of proven experience in sales and logistics, preferably within Freight Forwarding.
  • An existing network of customers and partners within the freight forwarding industry.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the Freight Forwarding market (sea freight, air freight, and land transport).
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German.
  • Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS).
  • Experience in sea freight operations.
  • A willingness to travel and participate in industry events.
