About the Role
The IT Application Services division serves as the key partner for the deployment and management of business applications. The Logistics team oversees all IT systems and processes for our global business units in this domain, particularly focusing on SAP solutions such as SAP Transportation Management (TM), S/4HANA, SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and SAP Global Trade Services (GTS). This position encompasses responsibilities in the areas of TM and EWM:
- Modernization Initiatives: In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of our SAP landscape, particularly emphasizing S/4HANA.
- Requirement Assessment: You will evaluate business needs regarding their technical and functional viability, ensuring alignment with our IT strategy.
- Solution Design and Implementation: Your responsibilities will include designing and deploying new functionalities and solutions, conducting tests, and liaising with relevant stakeholders.
- Project Management: You will oversee implementation projects that may have local, regional, or global dimensions within your area of responsibility.
- Support Resolution: Utilize your expertise to assist in resolving complex support tickets.
- Vendor Management: You will manage external service providers to ensure adherence to project outcomes, while facilitating necessary Covestro knowledge and communication.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about market solutions and IT trends in your area, sharing insights with your colleagues.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture that prioritizes ongoing enhancement and adaptability, in line with Covestro's C3 values.
Qualifications
- You hold a technical or advanced degree (Master's) in computer science, business informatics, or a related field.
- You possess substantial experience with SAP TM and SAP EWM technologies.
- Your functional and procedural knowledge in the specified areas, including adjacent logistics processes such as MM, SD, and GTS, is robust.
- You have a background in project management and exhibit leadership capabilities.
- Your problem-solving skills are structured and methodical.
- You thrive in flexible and agile team environments and demonstrate strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- You are communicative and open-minded, enjoying interactions with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
