We are seeking a highly skilled Reinsurance Accountant to join our team in Hannover, Germany. As a Reinsurance Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of comprehensive retrocession cover statements, including claims notifications and determination of figures to be settled.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and process retrocession cover statements, including claims notifications and determination of figures to be settled
- Process and check incoming and outgoing reinsurance settlements, as well as current account processing of incoming and outgoing payments
- Process claims notifications, including technical sanction checks
- Coordinate with internal and external customers worldwide
- Collaborate in working groups and digitalisation projects
- Commercial training in insurance, banking, accounting, or taxes, or a degree in business administration with a corresponding focus
- Experience in processing statements of account and current accounts in relation to (re)insurance contracts
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent understanding of numbers and ability to familiarise yourself with new IT technologies and tools
- Business fluent German language skills
- Conversational English language skills
