Accountant Reinsurance US

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant Reinsurance US to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our Reinsurance Accounting & Valuation team, you will be responsible for processing statements of account and claims processing for the US Casualty business.
Key Responsibilities:- Process statements of account, including technical scrutiny, and claims processing for US Casualty business
- Perform sanctions checks and maintain accounts of business partners
- Correspond with internal interfaces and external customers, and reconcile transactions
- Electronically archive documents and process balances for completeness
- Initiate payments and transfer calculated balances to SAP or process manually
- Process broker statements and statements submitted by direct companies
- Initiate creation of new bank accounts and process payments with settlement of accounts
- Remind outstanding items and process payments and technical postings
- Degree in business administration or commercial training
- Initial experience in accounting, preferably in insurance, banking, or tax
- Curiosity to familiarize yourself with different IT landscapes
- Good Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Independent user skills in German and English
- Excellent numerical reasoning and analytical thinking skills
- Self-reliant and independent working style
