About the Role:

The Brooks Sports Tech Rep Manager will lead and execute the field support strategy in all distribution channels located within the DACH region to increase market share, amplify Brooks' product leadership, and create recognition, awareness, and loyalty for the brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the DACH Tech Rep Team, ensuring seamless execution of sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide leadership to each Tech Rep within the region through consistent coaching, goal development, and commitment to supporting their career development paths.
  • Lead the overall field support efforts for Brooks at both SRA and Non-Specialty accounts, driving sales growth and brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop seasonal plans around product launches, in-store merchandising, and innovative grassroots programs at all accounts.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to execute strategic events and promotions, maximizing brand visibility and customer engagement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Sales management and Marketing teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
  • Provide feedback and analysis about the effectiveness of product initiatives and sales strategies, driving continuous improvement.
  • Maintain the appearance of leased company vehicles and all Brooks equipment, ensuring a professional image.
  • Work the respective accounts as assigned, driving product sell-thru and creating initiatives to improve sell-thru in all channels.
  • Assist in managing all Tech Rep budgets within assigned territories, ensuring efficient resource allocation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, or retail management preferred.
  • 1-3 years of retail experience, with a focus on athletic specialty preferred.
  • 2+ years of Marketing/Sales experience within the sports industry preferred.
  • First leadership experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of retail math, inventory management, product merchandising, and retail selling skills.
  • Knowledge of performance athletic footwear, apparel, accessories, and their related technologies.
  • Knowledge of the biomechanics of human motion, understanding of injury prevention basics.
  • Understanding of the DACH local running community, including events, clubs, coaches, and specialty retailers.
  • Highly motivated and energetic, with an enthusiastic attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and business English, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.
  • Very strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, inspiring and building trust, resulting in effective working relationships across the company.
  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks, while seeing the big picture and understanding how all the pieces fit together and affect one another.
  • Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect customers, partners, products, or other departments' operations and/or morale.
  • Demonstration of innovation and initiative, always looking at improving products and processes, while displaying a willingness to dive into details and help out wherever necessary.
  • Passionate participation in Brooks' sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner to develop loyal, engaging relationships with customers and the Brooks community.
  • Extensive travel required, with the ability and willingness to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
  • Must show proof of a good driving record upon request.
