Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and cultivate consultative partnerships with customers and their stakeholders on both technical and business fronts, collaborating with Product, Services, and Solution Architect Teams to create customer-centric architectures that drive industry innovation.
- Lead the architectural design aligned with Fortinet's technology strategy, addressing customer business challenges and market needs by outlining how individual projects contribute to the envisioned future state architecture.
- Gain a deep understanding of the customer's business strategy, success metrics, challenges, and strategic partnerships, demonstrating Fortinet's relevance to executive stakeholders.
- Stay informed about Fortinet's corporate strategy and direction regarding key solutions and service offerings.
- Deliver impactful presentations to customers and provide architecture selling concepts and methodologies to Sales, PreSales, and Fortinet partners.
- Identify prime opportunities and assist in constructing a compelling business case.
- Oversee and manage all technical aspects of the sales cycle, from initial inquiries to demonstrations, RfX, and PoCs, ensuring effective project management and collaboration with relevant teams.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of solutions, industry trends, and regulations, highlighting how Fortinet can leverage these to differentiate from key competitors.
- Collaborate with peers, Consulting System Engineers, Solution Architects, and Professional Services on complex opportunities, capturing and managing customer requirements through the Consulting System Engineering Team to Product Management.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, networking, or solution architecture, with a proven track record of success.
- A senior-level, customer-focused technical sales professional with expertise in customer-specific business drivers and their networking and security frameworks, including adjacent technology areas.
- A strong collaborator, self-driven, and an effective communicator with a proactive mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while leading a team in a collaborative environment.
- Solid understanding of the assigned customer's industry, including trends, influences, and relevant regulations at a global level, with foundational knowledge of various architectures.
- Proficiency in both German and English.
- Ability to engage with senior levels of internal and external organizations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of networking and network security principles.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., SANS, CISSP, CCIE) are preferred.
