Janitorial Services Specialist

Job Overview
Under general supervision, the Custodial Worker is responsible for a range of janitorial and custodial tasks that contribute to the overall cleanliness and appearance of the interior of Exchange facilities. This role involves the use of industrial-grade powered equipment and ladders/scaffolds to ensure high standards of hygiene and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep and mop floors, hallways, corridors, and stairways; scrub, wax, and polish floor surfaces utilizing heavy-duty powered equipment. Conduct necessary maintenance such as cleaning and oiling equipment.
- Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to clean rugs and drapes, applying appropriate chemicals and cleaning solutions as needed.
- Wash windows, walls, and partitions; clean and replace venetian blinds and light fixtures using ladders or scaffolds.
- Move heavy furniture, boxes, or other obstacles to facilitate cleaning duties. Transport trash, scraps, and other materials to designated pick-up points.
- Maintain tools and powered equipment by cleaning, adjusting, and oiling; replace brushes, rollers, pads, and blades as necessary.
- Ensure restrooms are washed, cleaned, disinfected, deodorized, and maintained in a sanitary condition. Replenish toilet tissue, towels, soap, and deodorizer as required.
- Dust, wax, and polish office furniture; clean shelves and empty ashtrays and waste baskets. Maintain an adequate stock of restroom and janitorial supplies.
- Perform light outdoor tasks related to facility cleanliness, such as litter collection and sweeping steps and sidewalks.
- Execute other related duties as assigned.
Job Type
This position is hourly.
Qualifications
Education: Completion of elementary school is required. Relevant job-related experience may substitute for educational requirements on a 9 months for 9 months basis.
Salary Range
Minimum: $17.27 | Maximum: $20.15
