About the Team

Following the successful establishment of its European headquarters, Pictet is looking to recruit a Financial Risk Manager (m/f/d) to enhance its European Risk team. This is a remarkable opportunity to join a distinguished firm during a pivotal moment and contribute to the development of a comprehensive pan-European Risk function.

In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Financial Risk within the Risk & Compliance department. As a vital member of the Financial Risk team, you will significantly influence the management of Pictet's risk profile and the ongoing enhancement of its risk management framework. Collaboration with colleagues in Finance and Risk & Compliance in Frankfurt, as well as the Treasury and Financial Risk teams in Luxembourg, will be essential, alongside interactions with the Risk unit at the Pictet Group's headquarters in Geneva.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the assessment and modeling of both financial and non-financial risks.
- Aid in the evolution of the Bank's risk framework as a continuous management tool.
- Deliver quarterly integrated risk reports to the Bank's governing bodies, including stress test outcomes for pertinent risk exposures.
- Support the Bank's ICAAP, pillar 3, and recovery planning annual review processes, preparing necessary documentation and presenting findings for approval.
- Contribute to the upkeep and effectiveness of the Bank's stress testing program for ICAAP and recovery planning.
- Participate in risk analysis for new product/service launches from a financial risk standpoint.
- Conduct regulatory monitoring and stay informed on market best practices regarding financial risk.

Candidate Profile

- A university degree in finance or a related field (engineering, mathematics, etc.) or an equivalent qualification.
- CFA, FRM, or similar postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
- Ideally, a minimum of five years' experience in a comparable position.
- Familiarity with quantitative risk management methodologies is a significant asset.
- Experience with counterparty credit risk is beneficial.
- Understanding of EU banking regulations.
- Proficiency in German and/or English; French is a plus.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office suite.
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, VBA) are advantageous.
- Knowledge of Front Arena, Business Objects, RiskPro, and Tableau is a plus.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
