Position Overview:
This role serves as the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for the Global Sales and Customer Success (GSCS) channel, part of the Siemens Digital Industries Software business unit within the Digital Industries Division. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Finance for Siemens DISW GSCS, this position supports a sales channel that contributes significantly to the annual revenue of DISW. The successful candidate will collaborate with key business partners, including the Executive Vice-President of Sales and senior finance leaders, fostering collaboration across various organizational levels such as legal, finance, sales, and senior management. Strong business insight, decision-making capabilities, and policy management are essential attributes for success in this role. This position is crucial for driving predictability, accountability, and high performance through collaboration with global and regional teams. The candidate will oversee a core FP&A and Analytics team, leading essential financial processes such as forecasting and planning to assist the organization in achieving its financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of analysts and managers in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all systems for GSCS.
- Provide governance and guidance for Management and Legal entity Financial Planning and Reporting.
- Enhance forecast accuracy and develop both short-term and long-term business plans to support the organization in achieving its financial goals.
- Encourage innovation, collaboration, and growth throughout the organization while driving global initiatives to enhance business processes and facilitate digital transformation.
- Establish new financial best practices in analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate on the SaaS transformation business plan with various stakeholders across the organization.
- Conduct monthly financial reviews with Senior Management, highlighting performance trends and areas for improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators and business performance, playing a primary role in communicating significant trends to executive management.
- Engage in discussions with executive leaders to guide the effective use of financial resources and ensure alignment with company strategy.
- Work alongside senior executives and the CFO on strategic planning initiatives and special projects.
- Build a high-performing team by recruiting and developing talent.
Scope of Role:
- Act as a key contact point and recognized expert in all aspects of the role.
- Address complex issues requiring in-depth analysis of multiple factors.
- Exercise sound judgment in selecting methods and evaluation criteria for achieving results.
- Make effective decisions in fast-paced, uncertain, or high-risk environments.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of relevant business experience.
- A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA is preferred.
- Proven track record in managing and developing teams of professional staff and analysts.
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Business Objects, QlikView, Tableau).
- Strong understanding of enterprise data flows and systems (e.g., ERP, HR, SAP).
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- A collaborative team player with strong business acumen, capable of engaging with all organizational levels to drive improvements and develop solutions.
- Ability to work effectively with matrixed departments and leadership to solve problems and deliver results.
- Demonstrated experience in communicating complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to translate complex analytical data for non-technical professionals and influence stakeholders.
- Adaptability to new or changing assignments, processes, and people, managing multiple concurrent activities.
- Proficient in Excel, MS Office, and presentation skills.
