Marathon Targets is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Representative to provide technical support to customers and support sales activities in Europe, with a focus on Germany and the Netherlands.
The ideal candidate will have prior military or law enforcement service, confidence operating computers, and a high mechanical aptitude with basic experience in electrical debugging.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to customers, including setup, maintenance, and operation of the Marathon system.
- Support sales activities in Europe, with a focus on Germany and the Netherlands.
- Transport equipment to customer sites around Europe and discuss training with instructors.
- Set up communications equipment, survey the range, and clear robot running areas of large debris.
- Operate robots during training, running scenarios and monitoring targets' state through the robot-control software.
- Adapt targets' behavior on-the-spot according to progress of trainees and real-time directions from instructors.
- Perform post-training activities, including target maintenance and charging, and reporting on training activities and target usage.
- Liaise with Marathon head office in Australia to facilitate improvements based on actual usage.
- Visit customer sites to conduct maintenance/repair and training courses for system operation and maintenance.
- Support the Marathon service location in Alsfeld, near Frankfurt, Germany.
- Contribute to business development and sales activities, including product demonstrations and trade fair visits.
- Prior military or law enforcement service.
- Confidence operating computers.
- A high mechanical aptitude and some basic experience with electrical debugging.
- Ability to work in the field and a willingness to get hands dirty.
- Ability to work effectively without supervision.
- Ability to deal with uncertainty and changing plans.
- A willingness to occasionally work long hours and at night.
- Holder of a valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Location close to our service location in Alsfeld near Frankfurt.
- Language skills: English (very good skills expected), German (desirable but not required).
