Regional Business Manager (f/m/d) - Oncology

The Regional Business Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the oncology product portfolio, engaging with key regional stakeholders in a comprehensive manner (including healthcare professionals, field representatives, and local healthcare networks). This position is crucial for identifying potential clients and networks within the oncology sector and fostering relationships to drive business growth. The role involves close collaboration with the marketing team to devise and execute strategic initiatives and support projects for all stakeholder groups.

The RBM is tasked with managing and coordinating all cross-functional activities related to oncology clients in their designated area.

The Regional Business Manager is responsible for maintaining ongoing communication with identified clients, utilizing various engagement methods such as personal visits, calls, project work, educational events, and other channels to build robust partnerships with healthcare professionals. This role is not limited to routine visits but focuses on cultivating comprehensive relationships with key stakeholders. The RBM will also provide leadership to the Medical Customer Manager linked to their business area, overseeing a specific geographic territory and managing customer prescriptions for oncology medications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a knowledgeable contact for oncology physicians in practices and hospitals, as well as other stakeholders such as physician networks and pharmacies, to facilitate the use of our oncology products.
  • Plan and execute initiatives targeting various specialist groups and their support staff within the oncology field.
  • Collaborate with the Market Access department to mitigate local market access challenges.
  • Provide scientific guidance to clients regarding the use, effects, composition, and risks associated with monoclonal antibodies and other oncology medications.
  • Share insights and experiences with clients about our products and relay this information to the internal team.
  • Develop and implement engagement formats and projects for all customer groups in close collaboration with cross-functional departments (Marketing, Medical, Market Access).
  • Present the latest product data to stakeholders.
  • Expand and nurture existing client relationships while acquiring new customers.
  • Achieve specific company objectives, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Plan and organize events within the sales territory and participate in national congresses and events.
  • Fulfill administrative responsibilities, including documentation and maintenance of internal customer databases.
  • Analyze and assess sales trends based on regional sales data.
  • Create and execute business plans tailored to the territory.
  • Manage the company's customer data effectively.
  • Oversee budget management.
  • Conduct proactive competitive analysis and report findings to the Team Lead.
  • Collaborate with support teams from the back office.
  • Engage actively in conferences and projects.
  • Adhere to relevant compliance regulations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing IT systems.


Qualifications

  • A degree in pharmacy, human or veterinary medicine, chemistry, biology, or related fields, or certification as a pharmaceutical representative.
  • Strong connections with oncology clients and stakeholders, including opinion leaders and relevant networks.
  • Proven track record of success in similar roles.
  • In-depth understanding of stakeholder decision-making processes and health economic drivers.
  • Experience in supporting marketing initiatives and managing projects.
  • Professional background in pharmaceutical field service, particularly in biologicals or biosimilars.
  • Exceptional customer orientation and communication skills.
  • Reliable, organized, and capable of working independently while being a team player.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and German.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Valid driver's license (Class B).
