Research FocusOur institute specializes in the exploration and development of cutting-edge methodologies for the early identification, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions arising from compromised immune system functions. We collaborate closely with university medical centers to ensure the effective translation of research discoveries into practical applications.
Project OverviewOne of our key initiatives is centered on enhancing therapeutic options for Huntington's disease, a severe neurodegenerative condition that disrupts the glymphatic and lymphatic systems, which are essential for the clearance of neuronal waste products. The primary manifestations of this disorder include:
- Motor dysfunction
- Cognitive decline
- Neurological complications
At present, there are no established treatments to postpone the onset of Huntington's disease, nor are there adequate digital tools to assess the lymphatic system.
Our MissionWe aim to gather extensive imaging data from these critical systems to develop a machine learning algorithm, ultimately creating a versatile tool for preclinical therapeutic evaluation.
