Director of Product Strategy

Your Mission
As the Director of Product Strategy at Betty Blocks, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, developing, and delivering our innovative HR software solutions. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will lead and motivate a skilled team of Product Managers, collaborating across various departments to create exceptional products that align with our strategic goals. Your mission will be to design and implement a product strategy that propels our organization's growth and success.
We seek a candidate with a proven history in product management, particularly within the SaaS sector. While we value extensive experience, we prioritize quality experience that showcases your capability to lead, innovate, and deliver outstanding products. You will have the freedom to define our product vision, create and oversee the product roadmap, and cultivate a culture of teamwork and continuous enhancement. Your role will also include engaging with our clients, enhancing market visibility, and mentoring emerging product leaders within our organization.
Your Team
The Betty Blocks R&D team comprises 9 cross-functional product teams, each led by a dedicated product manager. We are structured using the team topology framework, which promotes effective collaboration and optimal team dynamics. Each team enjoys a high level of ownership and operates autonomously, managing their respective roadmaps and empowered to make decisions that advance our product vision.
Your Journey
Initial Focus
Your first months will be dedicated to onboarding, familiarizing yourself with our products, teams, and processes. By the conclusion of this period, you will begin to reshape our product strategy for the upcoming phases.
Midway Point
You will have assumed full responsibility for product management operations, refined the product roadmap, and enhanced collaboration and development processes. Your strategic input will be instrumental in driving our product forward.
Long-Term Vision
By the end of your first year, you will have crafted and executed a comprehensive product strategy, significantly influencing growth and innovation. Your leadership will nurture a collaborative culture, and your contributions will elevate our market presence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Define and Communicate Product Vision: Develop and convey a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's objectives.Develop and Manage Product Roadmap: Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on market demand, customer feedback, and business value.Ensure Product Quality: Establish high standards of product quality, ensuring all products meet or exceed customer expectations.Foster Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to enhance cooperation across the organization.Own Recruitment: Recruit Product Managers for your assigned teams. Review and provide feedback on interview scorecards to uphold a high-quality interview process.Support Career Development: Cultivate a thriving culture of collaboration while offering guidance and opportunities for product management talent to develop and advance in their careers.Contribute to Market Presence: Promote Betty Blocks through activities such as writing articles, delivering presentations, and engaging in social media initiatives.Foster Knowledge Sharing: Drive the continuous adoption of world-class product management standards.What You Bring to the Team
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.Demonstrated success in launching and managing SaaS products.Strong understanding of software development processes and lifecycle.Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.Experience in managing and mentoring a team of product managers.5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a SaaS company.(Preferred) Experience in HR Technology.Why Betty Blocks
