Director of Product Strategy

Your Role
As the Head of Product at Betty Blocks, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, developing, and delivering our innovative software solutions. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will lead and motivate a skilled team of Product Managers, collaborating across various departments to create exceptional products that align with our strategic goals. Your primary responsibility will be to formulate and implement a product strategy that propels our company's growth and success.
We seek a candidate with a proven history in product management, particularly within the SaaS industry. While we value extensive experience, we emphasize the importance of high-quality experience that showcases your ability to lead, innovate, and deliver outstanding products. You will have the freedom to define our product vision, develop and oversee the product roadmap, and cultivate a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. Additionally, your role will involve engaging with our clients, enhancing market presence, and mentoring future product leaders within our organization.
Your Team
The Betty Blocks R&D team consists of multiple cross-functional product teams, each led by a dedicated product manager. We utilize a team topology framework to ensure effective collaboration and optimal team structures. Each team enjoys a high level of ownership and operates autonomously, managing their respective roadmaps and empowered to make decisions that advance our product vision.
Your Progression
Initial Focus
Your first few months will be dedicated to onboarding, familiarizing yourself with our products, teams, and processes. By the end of this period, you will begin to refine our product strategy for the upcoming period.
Mid-Term Goals
Within a few months, you will assume full responsibility for product management operations, enhance the product roadmap, and improve collaboration and development processes. Your strategic input will be crucial in driving our product forward.
Long-Term Vision
After a year, you will have crafted and executed a comprehensive product strategy, significantly influencing growth and innovation. Your leadership will foster a collaborative culture, enhancing our market presence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Define and articulate product vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's objectives.Manage product roadmap: Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on market demand, customer feedback, and business value.Ensure product excellence: Establish high standards of product quality, ensuring all offerings meet or exceed customer expectations.Encourage cross-team collaboration: Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to enhance cooperation across the organization.Lead recruitment efforts: Hire Product Managers for your assigned teams. Review and provide feedback on interview evaluations to ensure a high-quality hiring process.Support career growth: Foster a thriving culture of collaboration while providing guidance and opportunities for product management talent to advance in their careers.Enhance market visibility: Promote Betty Blocks through activities such as writing articles, delivering presentations, and engaging in social media initiatives.Encourage knowledge sharing: Drive the continuous adoption of world-class product management practices.Qualifications
Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding user experiences.Demonstrated success in launching and managing SaaS products.Strong understanding of software development processes and lifecycle.Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.Experience in managing and mentoring a team of product managers.5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a SaaS environment.(Preferred) Experience in HR Technology.Why Choose Betty Blocks
