As the Director of Product Strategy at Betty Blocks, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, developing, and delivering our innovative HR software solutions. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will lead and motivate a team of skilled Product Managers, collaborating across various departments to create exceptional products that align with our strategic objectives. Your mission is to formulate and implement a product strategy that propels our company's growth and success.
We seek a candidate with a proven history in product management, particularly within the SaaS industry. While we value extensive experience, we emphasize the importance of high-quality experience that showcases your capability to lead, innovate, and deliver outstanding products. You will have the freedom to define our product vision, create and oversee the product roadmap, and cultivate a culture of teamwork and continuous enhancement. Your role will also involve engaging with our clients, enhancing market visibility, and mentoring the next generation of product leaders within our organization.
Your Team
The Betty Blocks R&D team comprises 9 cross-functional product teams, each guided by a dedicated product manager. We are structured using the team topology framework, which promotes effective collaboration and optimal team configurations. Each team enjoys a high level of ownership and operates autonomously, meaning they manage their respective roadmaps and are empowered to make decisions that advance our product vision.
Your Journey
Initial Focus
In your first few months, you will concentrate on onboarding, familiarizing yourself with our products, teams, and processes. By the conclusion of this period, you will begin to reshape our product strategy for the upcoming phases.
Mid-Term Goals
After several months, you will have assumed full responsibility for product management operations, refined the product roadmap, and enhanced collaboration and development processes. Your strategic input will be instrumental in driving our product forward.
Long-Term Vision
After a year, you will have crafted and executed a comprehensive product strategy, significantly influencing growth and innovation. Your leadership will nurture a collaborative culture, and your efforts will elevate our market presence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Define and Communicate Product Vision: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's goals.Manage Product Roadmap: Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on market needs, customer insights, and business value.Ensure Product Quality: Establish high standards for product quality, ensuring all offerings meet or exceed customer expectations.Foster Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to enhance cooperation across the organization.Oversee Recruitment: Hire Product Managers for your assigned teams. Review and provide feedback on interview evaluations to ensure a high-quality hiring process.Support Career Development: Promote a thriving culture of collaboration while offering guidance and opportunities for product management talent to grow in their careers.Enhance Market Presence: Advocate for Betty Blocks through activities such as writing articles, delivering presentations, and engaging in social media initiatives.Encourage Knowledge Sharing: Drive the continuous adoption of world-class product management practices.Qualifications
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.Demonstrated success in launching and managing SaaS products.Strong grasp of software development processes and lifecycle.Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.Experience in managing and mentoring a team of product managers.5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity within a SaaS organization.(Preferred) Experience in HR Technology.Why Betty Blocks
