Cloud Operations Engineer

As a Site Reliability Engineer at Impossible Cloud GmbH, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the technical framework, deploying applications, and overseeing the monitoring of infrastructure and services.
Your collaboration with developers, fellow DevOps professionals, and release management teams will be crucial to ensure that code is deployed with utmost reliability.
You will take ownership of your work and critically assess deployment strategies.
Join us as one of the pioneering engineers to construct innovative infrastructure from the ground up in the blockchain sector.
Key Responsibilities- Foster shared ownership with developers to promote accountability and minimize organizational barriers.
- Establish and execute release management processes.
- Develop Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) along with their essential parameters from the ground up.
- Identify automation opportunities and initiate necessary actions.
- Design, implement, and maintain a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline utilizing modern frameworks such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitHub Actions.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of applications, incorporating aspects like monitoring, alerting, logging, and security.
- Develop and sustain cloud security solutions while integrating security services.
- Implement comprehensive patch management across the entire infrastructure and technology stacks.
- Establish testing and deployment automation processes.
- Experience as a Senior member or Team Tech Lead in a DevOps role.
- Proven ability to mentor junior engineers within your team.
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Typescript, Go, or Python.
- Experience managing Linux systems.
- Hands-on experience with databases or search technologies like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or ElasticSearch.
- Familiarity with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and technologies.
- Experience with automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience in the blockchain industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of architecture, deployment methodologies, and monitoring solutions.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Mesos.
- Familiarity with cloud storage solutions such as S3, EFS, or Azure Blobs.
