Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

As a Site Reliability Engineer/DevOps Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust technical frameworks, deploying software solutions, and overseeing the monitoring of infrastructure and services.

Your collaboration with developers, fellow DevOps professionals, and release management teams will be crucial to ensure that code is deployed reliably and efficiently.

You will take initiative and challenge existing deployment strategies, playing a pivotal role in constructing innovative infrastructure from the ground up in the blockchain sector at Impossible Cloud GmbH.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with developers to foster shared responsibility and minimize organizational silos.
  • Establish and execute release management processes.
  • Develop Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) along with their critical parameters from the ground up.
  • Identify automation opportunities and drive initiatives to automate processes.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline utilizing modern frameworks such as Jenkins, TeamCity, and GitHub Actions.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of applications, focusing on monitoring, alerting, logging, and security.
  • Develop and maintain cloud security solutions while integrating security services.
  • Implement patch management across the entire infrastructure and technology stacks.
  • Establish testing and deployment automation protocols.
Qualifications
  • Experience as a Senior team member or Technical Lead in a DevOps role.
  • Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers.
  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Typescript, Go, or Python.
  • Experience managing Linux systems.
  • Hands-on experience with databases or search technologies like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or ElasticSearch.
  • Familiarity with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Desirable experience in the blockchain industry.
  • Knowledge of architecture, deployment methods, and monitoring solutions.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Mesos.
  • Familiarity with cloud storage solutions such as S3, EFS, or Azure Blobs.
