Job Summary

Vectrus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tier II Help Desk Technician to join our team. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing responsive, qualified, and knowledgeable IT Call Center and Help Desk support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Active Directory user accounts and groups, ensuring seamless access to our IT resources.
  • Install and troubleshoot all government-approved IT equipment, including desktops, monitors, and printers.
  • Install and troubleshoot all government-approved operating systems and COTS software for desktops, laptops, and other mobile devices.
  • Provide training and support to customers on how to effectively use our IT resources, including login procedures, file management, and course materials.
  • Act as an interface between customers and our Systems Support Division for all participant mobile devices, including inventory control, imaging, issuance, and retrieval of assets.
  • Provide Tier 1 support for our organization, including all sections of our Systems Support Division, and escalate requests and incidents in accordance with documented SOPs.
  • Ensure that all processes used by the Help Desk are thoroughly documented, consistently audited, and regularly improved.
  • Collaborate with our IT Project Manager on project planning and execution for Help Desk-related tasks and provide accurate reporting for manning and task status.
  • Manage our Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and HCL BigFix, including creating, managing, and maintaining Windows images, software deployment packages, task sequences, and Windows and third-party software updates and patches.
  • Provide Tier 2 support to all sections of our Systems Support Division, including Networking, Systems, DevOps, and Information Assurance, and escalate requests and incidents in accordance with documented SOPs.

Requirements

  • Excellent English language skills (writing and speaking).
  • Ability to work within Germany (must have lived in Germany for 1 year consecutively).
  • Current CompTia Security+ certification.
  • Physical ability to lift equipment up to 40 pounds.
