Position Title: Sales Director - Global Rail Division / Thermo King
Location: Preferred locations include Germany, Austria, Switzerland, or France, with flexibility for other regions.
Role Summary:
As a leader in the rail sector, Thermo King Global Rail specializes in delivering advanced and eco-friendly climate control solutions tailored for the rail industry. We are in search of a driven and experienced Sales Director to join our vibrant team and spearhead direct sales initiatives within the Global Rail Division.
In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with formulating and implementing sales strategies aimed at achieving financial objectives, optimizing profitability, and expanding our market presence within the rail sector. A robust background in rail operations and a proven history of effective sales leadership are essential for success in this position.
This role will report directly to the Global Rail Commercial Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a thorough sales strategy to foster growth and enhance market penetration within the rail sector across the EMEA region.
- Identify and engage with key clients, including rail operators, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and system integrators, to maximize sales potential and broaden the customer base.
- Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of solutions that align with customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and marketing, to provide exceptional customer service and deliver customized solutions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive dynamics, and customer requirements, leveraging this knowledge to uncover new business opportunities.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and industry leaders to enhance our brand and solutions.
- Provide precise sales forecasts and reports to senior management, analyzing market trends and performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement.
- Participate in industry events, trade exhibitions, and conferences to showcase our offerings and strengthen our industry presence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience within the Rail HVAC sector.
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth in the rail industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of the rail sector, including knowledge of key players, market trends, and industry standards.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities, with a focus on delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, global team environment.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of independently managing and prioritizing multiple responsibilities.
- Willingness to travel within the EMEA region as necessary.
- Proficiency in English and fluency in either German or French are required.
