We are seeking accomplished researchers (scholarly authors) to submit papers for the thematic issue titled, "Machine Learning Applications in Computational Biology and Digital Medicine", to be featured in Current Proteomics. About this Thematic Issue: Machine Learning Applications in Computational Biology and Digital Medicine
Machine learning has emerged as a pivotal research area with diverse applications, including intelligent transportation, public safety, financial risk assessment, medical diagnostics, and computational biology. This Special Thematic Issue titled, "Recent Advances in Machine Learning Applications in Computational Biology and Digital Medicine", aims to investigate the scientific and technological frontiers addressing significant challenges in computational biology and medicine. We seek previously unpublished review articles related to methodologies, implementations, outcomes, and evaluations of innovative approaches and technologies in machine learning-based computational biology and digital medicine. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, e-health, artificial intelligence, biomedical engineering, mathematical optimization, medical imaging, biomedical discovery, and computational biology.
About Current Proteomics:
The field of proteomics is experiencing rapid growth. The primary objective of Current Proteomics is to publish timely, in-depth, and mini-review articles in this fast-evolving domain on topics that are relevant and significant to the advancement of proteomics. Current Proteomics serves as an essential resource for professionals engaged in proteomics and related fields across academia and industry.
All aspects of proteomics are covered, including methodologies, software, databases, technological advancements, and applications, such as functional proteomics. The journal encompasses a variety of technologies, including but not limited to:
2-D gel electrophoresis and image analysis
Analysis of protein complexes
Biomolecular interaction analysis
Determination of co-translational and post-translational modifications of proteins
High-throughput computational methods for protein 3-D structure and function determination
High-throughput protein structural studies (utilizing mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance, and X-ray crystallography)

Protein separation and characterization techniques
Protein/peptide microarrays
Protein-protein interaction pathways and cellular signaling networks

In addition to in-depth and mini-reviews, the journal publishes articles highlighting recent proteomics research of particular interest, as well as book reviews. Given the significance of specific technologies and software developed for the progress of proteomics research, a dedicated section is allocated for product and technology reports. Proceedings from proteomics conferences, along with selected review articles on presented topics, are also featured.
This journal is indexed in Scopus, SCI Expanded, MEDLINE/PubMed, and other reputable indexes. It holds a JCR Impact Factor of 0.5.
