As a People & Culture Manager (m/f/d), you will be instrumental in shaping and fostering the organizational ethos at terralayr. In this dynamic growth phase, we seek an individual who can navigate the changing landscape, implement essential HR frameworks, and facilitate the swift scaling of our workforce. This multifaceted role within the HR division encompasses various human resources functions, from talent acquisition and onboarding to employee engagement and professional development. Your contributions will ensure that terralayr continues to be a desirable and supportive environment where our personnel can excel.

Key Responsibilities

Your Role in Detail

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding – Oversee the comprehensive recruitment cycle, from crafting job descriptions and sourcing candidates to conducting interviews and making hiring decisions. Ensure a seamless and inviting onboarding process for new hires, assisting them in assimilating into our culture and grasping our mission.

Employee Engagement Initiatives – Design and execute strategies aimed at boosting employee engagement and satisfaction. Conduct regular assessments and feedback sessions to gauge employee sentiments and proactively address any issues.

Performance Evaluation – Manage the performance evaluation framework, including goal setting, performance assessments, and feedback provision. Collaborate with management to create performance enhancement plans and facilitate employee growth.

Professional Development – Identify training requirements and avenues for career advancement. Organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and other developmental activities to bolster employee skills and career trajectories.

Cultural Promotion and Employer Branding – Advocate for terralayr's values and culture both internally and externally. Develop initiatives to enhance our employer brand, highlighting our dedication to a positive and inclusive workplace.

HR Policies and Compliance – Ensure that all HR policies and procedures are current and adhere to local labor regulations. Provide counsel to management and staff on HR-related matters and best practices.

Event Coordination – Plan and execute internal events such as team-building exercises, workshops, and company celebrations to cultivate a strong sense of community and collaboration among team members.

Employee Relations – Serve as a resource for employee inquiries and concerns. Mediate and resolve conflicts, ensuring a fair and respectful environment for all team members.

Organizational Development – Assist in establishing HR systems, processes, and best practices to lay a solid foundation for growth. Identify and implement enhancements to improve operational efficiency and employee experience.

Qualifications
  • Generalist HR Experience – Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR capacity, encompassing various HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, contract management, and employee engagement. Experience in a startup or high-growth context is highly valued.
  • People-Centric Mindset – Strong interpersonal abilities with a genuine commitment to supporting and developing employees. Capability to build trusting relationships and manage sensitive matters with discretion and care.
  • Organizational Proficiency – Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the capacity to juggle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Communication Expertise – Superior verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in both German and English is essential.
  • Proactive and Resilient Attitude – Highly driven and proactive, with the ability to work autonomously and effectively manage challenges. Resilient amidst shifting priorities and demands.
  • Event Planning Skills – Experience in organizing and managing internal events to enhance employee engagement and corporate culture.
  • HR Knowledge Base – Comprehensive understanding of HR best practices, policies, and local labor laws.
  • Adaptability – Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities and tasks may shift rapidly.
  • Language Proficiency – Business-level proficiency in both German and English.
