Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Head of Product Data Insights to address critical challenges from both business and user perspectives, enhance methodologies and tools, and promote data excellence within the PTU Leadership team. You will report directly to the Chief Technology and Product Officer (CTPO) and collaborate closely with product management, senior leadership, and the entire leadership circle to advocate for product analytics, data governance, and best practices. Your leadership will empower a team of analysts to facilitate informed, data-driven decisions in product development, ensuring continuous value delivery. You will oversee a team of 3-4 data analysts, providing consultation, guidance, and collaboration with our 7 agile, cross-functional product domain teams, while also offering expertise to the Marketing and Sales departments as required. You will mentor and lead our data analysts, cultivating a collaborative and high-performance culture that supports personal and professional development. Your team will partner with the data engineering team and our technical platform team to establish best practice technical and data analytics solutions that foster data-driven and insights-first approaches to product development and strategic discussions.Formulate and implement a comprehensive product analytics strategy that aligns with organizational objectives, establishing best practices for data analysis, reporting, and visualization to guarantee high-quality outcomes. Promote a data-centric culture throughout the organization, advocating for data utilization in decision-making processes. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts, nurturing a collaborative and high-performance environment. Provide opportunities for professional development and support for team members to enhance their skills and career trajectories. Supervise the collection, analysis, and interpretation of product and user data to generate actionable insights. Collaborate with product management to define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product performance and user engagement. Partner with the Director of Product Management and other stakeholders to ensure effective utilization of data insights in product strategy and development. Work alongside the data engineering team to ensure the availability and integrity of data essential for analytics. Together with the data engineering team, oversee the implementation and utilization of analytics tools, ensuring they meet organizational needs. Streamline and enhance processes for data requests and insights delivery to minimize waiting times and improve efficiency. Supervise the design and analysis of A/B tests and other experiments to assess product modifications and ensure rigorous statistical analysis and interpretation of experimental outcomes. Collaborate with User Experience Research to integrate insights from qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, forming a comprehensive understanding of user behaviors. Establish benchmarks for product performance in comparison to industry standards and competitors.
Required Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science). Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior analytics position, preferably within a B2C or marketplace context. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing data analytics teams, showcasing excellent leadership capabilities with a history of building and developing high-performing teams. Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, etc.). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau and Metabase). Strong understanding of data infrastructure, data governance, and data engineering principles. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders. In-depth understanding of B2C marketplace dynamics, user behaviors, and product lifecycles. Ability to align analytics initiatives with business objectives and priorities.What We Offer
