Regional Business Manager (f/m/d) - Oncology

The Regional Business Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the oncology product portfolio, engaging with key regional stakeholders through a comprehensive approach that includes healthcare professionals, field representatives, and local healthcare networks. This position involves identifying potential clients and stakeholders within the oncology sector and cultivating relationships to drive business growth. Collaboration with the marketing team is essential to develop and execute strategic initiatives and support projects tailored for various stakeholder groups.

The RBM is accountable for managing and coordinating all cross-functional activities related to oncology clients within their designated area.

The Regional Business Manager maintains ongoing communication with identified clients, utilizing various engagement methods such as personal visits, calls, project collaborations, educational events, and other channels to foster strong partnerships with healthcare professionals. The role emphasizes building comprehensive relationships rather than merely conducting routine visits to medical offices. The RBM also provides leadership to the Medical Customer Manager, aligning efforts with their business area and overseeing customer prescriptions for oncology medications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for oncology physicians in practices and hospitals, as well as other stakeholders such as physician networks and local healthcare organizations, to facilitate the use of our oncology products.
  • Plan and execute initiatives targeting various specialist groups and their support teams within the oncology field.
  • Collaborate with the Market Access department to mitigate local market access challenges.
  • Provide scientific guidance to clients regarding the application, effects, composition, and risks associated with monoclonal antibodies and future oncology products.
  • Share insights and experiences with clients about our offerings and relay this information to internal teams.
  • Develop and implement interaction formats and projects for all customer groups in close collaboration with cross-functional departments (Marketing, Medical, Market Access).
  • Present the latest product data to stakeholders.
  • Expand and nurture existing client relationships while acquiring new ones.
  • Achieve specific company objectives, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Plan and coordinate events.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including documentation and maintenance of internal customer databases.
  • Analyze and assess sales trends based on regional sales data.
  • Create and execute business plans.
  • Maintain the integrity of customer data.
  • Manage budgets effectively.
  • Organize and execute regional events and participate in national conferences.
  • Conduct proactive competitive analysis and report findings to the Team Lead.
  • Consult and collaborate with support teams from the back office.
  • Engage actively in conferences and projects.
  • Adhere to relevant compliance regulations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing IT systems.


Qualifications

  • Degree in pharmacy, medicine (human or veterinary), chemistry, biology, or a related field, or certification as a pharmaceutical representative.
  • Strong connections with oncology clients and stakeholders, including opinion leaders and relevant networks.
  • Proven track record of success in similar roles.
  • In-depth understanding of stakeholder decision-making processes and market dynamics.
  • Experience in supporting marketing initiatives and managing projects.
  • Professional background in field service within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in biologicals or biosimilars.
  • High level of customer focus and exceptional communication skills.
  • Organized, responsible, and capable of working independently while being a reliable team player.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and German.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Valid driver's license (Class B).
