About the Role

As an IT Support Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations for our global travel network. You'll be part of a dedicated team responsible for resolving technical issues and providing exceptional support to our users across various departments.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide first- and second-line technical support, addressing user inquiries and troubleshooting hardware, software, and application problems.
  • Document existing processes for applications, hardware, and software, creating clear manuals and user instructions.
  • Conduct training sessions for end users on new and existing systems and applications.
  • Manage incident resolution by prioritizing, assigning, and tracking issues through to completion. This includes investigating unknown causes and service disruptions.
  • Develop sustainable solutions for recurring incidents through analysis, planning, implementation, and budget management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and resolve interface problems within sub-processes, proposing process improvements.
  • Participate in project initiatives related to IT infrastructure and systems upgrades.

About You

  • Possess a vocational qualification as an IT Systems Clerk/Technician, IT Specialist, or a degree in (Business) Computer Science.
  • Have solid experience with systems used in the travel industry, particularly core processes, production, and distribution systems.
  • Demonstrate 1-2 years of professional experience in customer service within an IT environment.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of system processes and contexts.
  • Maintain a high level of quality awareness and possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Show initiative, responsibility, and a willingness to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in German and English. French language skills are an asset.
  • Be flexible and willing to participate in 24/7 shift work.
  • Demonstrate a customer-centric approach and a passion for resolving IT issues.
