Job Summary:

The Field Service Representative plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the CSA registered mark by conducting factory inspections and ensuring ongoing conformity of products bearing the CSA Mark.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct factory inspections at CSA authorized factories (remote and on-site) to verify compliance with applicable standards and certification reports.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, including quality control and testing documentation, to document findings and recommendations.
  • Review previous inspection reports to determine if previous deviations have been corrected and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Maintain contact with clients to provide information, respond to inquiries, and assist with record updates.
  • Stay up-to-date on new services available and communicate these to clients as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Licensed Electrician with related experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 5-7 years of industry-related experience.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and test data.
  • Computer skills, including word processing and email.
  • Usage of calibrated measurement instruments and high-voltage test equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple inspection files and changing schedules and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and general laboratory procedures.
  • Good communication skills in German and English (oral and written). Knowledge of an additional European language (e.g., French or Italian) is welcome.
  • Ability to travel as needed and/or with short notice.
