Network and Database Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Administrator to join our team at Posteo e.K. as a key member of our IT infrastructure team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our IT team to administer and maintain our Posteo IT systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Contribute to the implementation of IT projects, driving innovation and improvement in our infrastructure.
- Share responsibility for the availability of our systems and network services, ensuring seamless operation.
- Install, configure, and maintain our IT infrastructure, including hardware and software components.
- Document our IT infrastructure, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Monitor services and systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in IT, including security announcements and changelogs.
- Promote and maintain our test environments, ensuring they are accurate and reliable.
- Automate routine processes, streamlining our operations and improving efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in all areas mentioned above, with a strong background in Linux and command-line interfaces.
- Proficiency in email technologies (SMTP, IMAP), HTTPS, and collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with virtualization techniques and configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of network and routing technologies, as well as protocols.
- Understanding of databases and programming languages.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- Relevant studies in computer science or a related field are an asset.
