- Install, configure, and manage PostgreSQL databases in both clustered and standalone setups.
- Guarantee the high availability, performance, and security of database systems.
- Develop and implement backup strategies for MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.
- Conduct regular backups, restore databases as necessary, and ensure data integrity.
- Monitor and enhance database performance, focusing on query optimization and index management.
- Execute capacity planning and scaling of databases to accommodate the evolving needs of the organization.
- Create and maintain automation scripts using Ansible and Terraform for database provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
- Automate routine database operations to boost efficiency and minimize manual tasks.
- Manage and troubleshoot database servers operating on Linux-based systems.
- Ensure system security, conduct patch management, and maintain overall system health.
- Grasp and apply fundamental Kubernetes concepts for database deployment and management.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate databases with containerized applications.
- Maintain thorough documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide regular updates on database performance, health, and capacity.
Your Profile
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of MongoDB, including installation, maintenance, replication, sharding, and backup/restore procedures.
- Comprehensive understanding of PostgreSQL, including installation, maintenance, clustering, and backup/restore procedures.
- Proficient in Linux system administration.
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and its application in database management.
- Strong scripting and automation capabilities using Ansible and Terraform.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
