Project Overview: Beyond Good And Evil 2 is an action-adventure sci-fi RPG that expands upon the universe of Ubisoft's original cult classic. Join our talented team at Ubisoft Mainz to help shape this groundbreaking project utilizing state-of-the-art graphics.
Role Overview: As a Technical Director, you will steer the direction of our Tech-Art, Engine, UI, Tools, and Graphics Programming Teams within a collaborative development environment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a unified vision across all teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor the Programming and Technical Art Teams, fostering the growth of new leaders while promoting autonomy and coaching.
- Collaborate with Directors and Producers to synchronize overarching visions.
- Establish guidelines to facilitate technical execution.
- Contribute to strategic studio initiatives, including recruitment, investment, and training.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality game components across all platforms.
- Define technical requirements and constraints to realize the creative vision.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in leading technical teams with a strong understanding of Servant Leadership principles.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies in video game programming.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to observe, reflect, and challenge existing paradigms.
- Comfortable navigating complex environments with a risk-taking approach.
- Ambitious with a commitment to achieving the highest quality standards while maintaining a considerate leadership style.
- Hands-on experience across various programming disciplines in game development, including gameplay, AI, engine, rendering, tools, online, audio, and physics.
- Comprehensive understanding of related fields such as game design, art, animation, and production.
- Familiarity with procedural generation techniques is a plus.
- Experience in shipping multiple games.
