As an Area Manager at Amazon Logistik Westfalenhuette GmbH, you will be responsible for leading a team that ensures the smooth operation of our logistics network. Your primary focus will be on creating and maintaining a culture of safety and quality, while driving productivity and efficiency across our sites.
Key Responsibilities- Create and implement strategies to improve safety and wellbeing within the team
- Analyse and optimise processes to maintain high-quality and productivity levels
- Oversee projects to streamline operations and improve customer service
- Collaborate with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices and improve operational excellence
You will work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, overseeing daily operational responsibilities and process improvements. Your role will involve mentoring new managers and serving as a role model for the team.
About the TeamAmazon Extra Large (AMXL) is a specialist fulfilment centre that handles heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team provides a unique customer experience, including delivery, unpacking, assembly, and installation. We are committed to safety, productivity, and innovation, and are expanding our operations across the UK and Europe.
Requirements- A degree in a relevant field
- Relevant experience in people management and communication
- Advanced proficiency in local language and English
Preferred qualifications include experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques, as well as proficiency in the MS Office suite.
