About the Role

We are seeking a talented Electronics Systems Product Engineer to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Marktheidenfeld, Germany. This entry-level/early-career professional will be responsible for tailoring electronic and electrical systems for Cummins products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate product requirements into hardware and software technical requirements that control the operation of Cummins products in various customer applications.
  • Configure and test fully integrated hardware and software systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure high-quality component delivery.
  • Investigate electronic application and systems problems, understand causal mechanisms, and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Apply and support the enhancement of electronic application and systems development processes and tools.
  • Make informed decisions regarding electronic and electrical system design, requirements, calibration, and testing.
  • Provide independent execution of established work processes and systems.
  • Develop and utilize tools for simulation, calibration, and product life maintenance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates a standalone working attitude, capable of independently managing tasks and projects.
  • Exhibits critical and forward-thinking abilities, consistently questioning existing processes and solutions.
  • Possesses strong communication and project management skills.
  • Entry-level or early-career professionals with relevant experience gained through internships, co-op programs, or extracurricular activities.
  • Skilled in solving product problems using data-driven processes.
  • Experienced in specifying and applying electronic hardware and interconnections to measure and control systems.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge in EMC/EMI (Electromagnetic Compatibility and Immunity)
  • Knowledge in Matlab/Simulink
  • Knowledge in LabView/DIAde

Education/Experience

  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
  • Entry level/Early career professional.
