Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager

Overview

The Senior Business Development Manager plays a critical role in driving revenue growth for WuXi AppTec by identifying and cultivating business opportunities in the Medical Device market. This position requires a strong understanding of the industry and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a defined list of accounts, leveraging marketing information, CRM data, and prospecting techniques to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Field Services, Project Managers, and the Client Success team to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing timely quotations and conducting follow-up sales activities to expedite decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of new Business Development Managers, providing training and mentorship to ensure successful onboarding.
  • Participate in sales strategy development and process improvement initiatives, providing feedback to the Sales Director.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of direct selling/sales experience, with at least 3 years in a quota-carrying sales position.
  • Proven track record of achieving quota targets and managing a defined territory.
  • Experience selling in the Medical Device or Life Science marketplace.
  • Minimum BS/BA degree in Business or a relevant scientific discipline.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Travel required up to 50%, primarily domestic with occasional international travel.
