The Senior Business Development Manager serves as a key interface to uncover and cultivate client business opportunities that result in revenue for WuXi AppTec. This role requires a strong understanding of all aspects of Medical Device business and may involve assisting in the development and training of new Business Development Managers and Business Development Associates.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow a defined list of accounts, which may be located beyond a specific geography, by presenting WuXi AppTec's Medical Device Testing services to potential and existing clients.
- Collect and disseminate accurate information from clients to provide timely quotations to secure new projects.
- Complete relevant reports and update Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with and communicate regularly with Field Services, Project Managers and the Client Success team to ensure customer expectations are understood and being met.
- Experience selling a product or service in the Medical Device or Life Science marketplace.
- Demonstrated success managing an assigned territory, selling multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to read, write and understand English.
- Travel is required up to 50%, primarily domestic with occasional international travel.
