Join Our Team as a Global Events Intern

ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability e.V. is a global network of local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development. We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to support our Global Events Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and execution of global events, including the organization of key events such as the ICLEI World Congress and the LGMA Multilevel Action Pavilion at COP28.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of both in-person and virtual events, including the organization of speakers, logistics, and event websites.
  • Support the team in charge of program development and speaker management, as well as the maintenance of event websites and email accounts.
  • Assist with the editing of videos and the management of the app and virtual platform.
  • Support the tracking of logistical information for event participants, speakers, partners, and staff.
  • Develop content for newsletters and promotional materials, as well as social media channels.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in a vocational training or university in a relevant subject, such as Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or similar.
  • Experience with web editing and desktop publishing software, as well as management of virtual platforms.
  • Creative, proactive, and reliable in teamwork, with fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office.
Benefits
  • Remuneration: 1000 Euros per month (full time) before taxes and social insurance fees.
  • Working hours: 40 per week (full time), 2 days of leave per full month.
  • Working language: English.
  • International travel may be required.
  • The contract will be based on German laws.
