Job Description

ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability is a global network of over 2,500 local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development. We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our Global Events Team as an Intern.

The successful candidate will support the planning and implementation of key global events, including the Daring Cities 2023 conference and the ICLEI World Congress. This is a learning opportunity for enrolled students who must complete a mandatory internship as part of their studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation and execution of in-person and virtual events
  • Assist with participant management, including travel booking and reimbursements
  • Support program development and speaker management
  • Maintain event websites and manage email accounts
  • Edit videos and manage the event app and virtual platform
  • Track logistical information for event participants, speakers, partners, and staff
  • Develop content for newsletters and promotional materials
  • Support social media content development
Requirements
  • Enrolled in a relevant field, such as Event Management, Marketing, or Communications
  • Experience with web editing and desktop publishing software
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office
Benefits

The internship offers a stipend of 1000 Euros per month and the opportunity to work in a multicultural environment. The successful candidate will be supervised by and report to the Global Events Senior Officer.
