Strategic Partnerships Manager EMEAP

This role is part of the Abbott Diabetes Care division, which focuses on developing life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions for people with diabetes.
Key Responsibilities- Drive and coordinate efforts to select, establish, and launch co-operations with external partners at product and software as a service levels.
- Continuously assess the overall business development, future trends, and competitive landscape.
- Lead efforts to bring EMEAP/global contracts to life in EMEAP affiliates by driving country launch readiness and ensuring executional excellence.
- Work with senior strategic partnerships managers, global business development, and the legal department on negotiation of EMEAP-wide term sheets and contracts with partners.
- Select potentially interesting partners, prepare business cases, and required internal documentation to obtain approval to work on a cooperation. Advise EMEAP affiliates on establishing local partnerships.
- Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, including partners, global BD, EMEAP marketing & commercial, and EMEAP affiliates, with marketing responsible for co-promotional activities.
- Relevant business, legal, or life-sciences university degree.
- At least 5 years of previous relevant experience within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in product launches.
- Excellent communication skills to build trustworthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders and across all organizational levels.
- Excellent project management skills to ensure smooth launch execution across EMEAP and with different external partners.
- Previous experience in business development and successful contract negotiation is preferred.
- Knowledge in Health Care or MedTech or Pharma, ideally the Diabetes sector.
- Curious to discover new trends and get to know new technologies.
- Capability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment to deliver on communicated timelines and objectives.
- Displays a desire for continuous learning and development, demonstrating potential for growth and capability of moving on to roles with extended responsibilities.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of a second language is desirable.
- The position requires the willingness to travel within Europe, Middle East & Africa and US (max 20%).
