Job Description: Disability Insurance Claims Specialist
We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Underwriting & Benefits Management Protection department as Disability Insurance Claims Specialists. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assessing and handling claims related to disability insurance policies.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of disability insurance claims, evaluating medical documentation and other relevant information.
- Communicate effectively with policyholders, legal representatives, and healthcare professionals to gather necessary details and provide updates on claim status.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters and actuaries, to ensure accurate claim processing and adherence to company guidelines.
- Apply your knowledge of insurance regulations and best practices to make informed decisions regarding claim settlements.
Your Profile:
- Possess a strong understanding of insurance principles or have a background in law, medicine, or a related field.
- Demonstrate a keen interest in medical topics and the ability to quickly grasp complex information.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate claims thoroughly and make sound judgments.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
