Role Overview

Your responsibilities in this pivotal role:

  • You will oversee payroll-related employee information, including timekeeping and attendance, in partnership with People & Organization Specialists.
  • You will prepare monthly payroll in close collaboration with our external payroll service provider.
  • You will ensure accurate payroll processing through thorough pre and post-payroll audits.
  • You will handle complex payroll issues in conjunction with employees and external partners.
  • You will serve as a key contact for payroll inquiries (including tax and social security) from management, employees, and P&O colleagues.
  • You will conduct payroll-related analyses and generate reports in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (P&O, Finance, Controlling, tax, and social security authorities).
  • You will contribute to process enhancements and digital transformation initiatives.

This position can be based at one of our locations.

Required Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of payroll operations; ability to manage and optimize payroll processes, develop solutions for unique cases, and propose process improvements while overseeing external providers.
  • In-depth understanding of German tax and social security laws, with the capability to apply this knowledge to a wide range of scenarios; adept at resolving complex cases in collaboration with tax consultants.
  • Strong familiarity with HRIS, payroll, and time & attendance IT systems.
  • Knowledge of standard HR KPIs and analytical tools (e.g., Excel); capable of addressing both standard and ad-hoc requests.
  • Proficient in standard office IT applications.
  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Fluent in both English and German.
