We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Analyst for our Chief Administrative Office (Controls Testing & Assurance) division in Germany. This role is integral to our Corporate Bank, Investment Bank, and Capital Release Unit teams.

Controls Testing & Assurance serves as a vital global function within Deutsche Bank AG, having established itself as an independent and interdisciplinary unit since 2021, reporting directly to the Executive Board. This structure emphasizes the significance placed on our work by management, business areas, and regulatory authorities. Our global presence ensures that we have local teams in all major financial hubs, focusing on evaluating the effectiveness of controls related to compliance risks and the implementation of regulatory requirements across all sectors of Deutsche Bank AG.

In collaboration with various business divisions, including Private Bank, Corporate Bank, Investment Bank, DWS, and Capital Release Unit, we develop cross-functional standards and processes, contributing significantly to the establishment and maintenance of an effective control environment.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess existing first-level controls within the CB, IB, and CRU divisions.
  • Contribute to the development of risk-based audit methodologies and plans.
  • Plan and execute various audit formats (reviews, tests, adherence checks, and on-site audits) in accordance with internal methods and procedures, and assist in reporting findings.
  • Coordinate findings and necessary actions with stakeholders, including senior management, support the implementation of agreed measures, and escalate overdue findings as necessary.
  • Participate in the preparation and execution of projects and initiatives in response to new regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in international divisional Global Practice Groups.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Initial professional experience in compliance, legal, auditing, divisional control offices, business management, or risk management, particularly in the conceptual development of methods and controls.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and the business environment, with a commitment to ongoing learning about new regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex issues and processes, identify key risk aspects, and draw appropriate conclusions.
  • Excellent communication skills, proactive conflict management, and goal-oriented discussions; proficiency in both German and English, both written and spoken.
  • A team player with high self-motivation, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines, even in stressful situations.
