VIU HR Support Specialist Job Overview

The HR Support Specialist plays a vital role in creating a seamless Employee Experience for our team members at VIU. This position is responsible for providing expert support to our HR Business Partners, ensuring that all aspects of the Employee Lifecycle are handled efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to develop and implement Employee Experience strategies
  • Manage contract adjustments, onboarding, and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for employees
  • Provide proactive support to employees throughout their tenure at VIU, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in our HR system and internal platforms

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in HR or Talent Acquisition
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A solution-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering results and exceeding expectations
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
