Lead Visual Brand Designer

As a key player in our design team, your primary responsibility will be to craft and execute designs that effectively convey Omio's brand ethos and vision throughout the customer experience. Collaborating with both the Marketing and Product Design teams, you will shape our modern brand identity. Your mission is to help us create a memorable and innovative travel technology brand that enhances every journey. Your skills will be instrumental in developing visually impactful brands across various platforms, guiding the design process from conceptualization to final execution. You possess the ability to translate user insights into innovative and distinctive brand designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creative vision for brand design, ensuring visual consistency throughout the entire customer journey.
- Generate concepts that bring ideas to fruition and challenge conventional design limits.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to strategize and create a diverse range of modern design assets that engage our audience and enhance performance.
- Develop design systems in collaboration with the Product UX/UI design team, ensuring visual coherence from marketing to product.
- Analyze user insights, consumer behaviors, and industry trends to create unique brand experiences.
- Collaborate with a talented team of designers, user researchers, animators, content specialists, and illustrators to produce compelling designs.
- Establish comprehensive design guidelines that define how our brand should be perceived by travelers, ensuring consistency and impact across all initiatives.
- Create a robust tactics library to maintain brand consistency and scale our design efforts.
- Provide guidance and inspiration to our teams regarding industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance design processes and deliver innovative brand visuals.
- Mentor and inspire the design community at Omio.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in design within a technology company, marketing agency, or a related field.
- Proven experience in directing complex solutions for digital e-commerce products and brand initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate with Marketing, Product, Product Design, and Engineering teams to understand detailed requirements and exceed expectations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate creative visions, concepts, and solutions to stakeholders.
- Capability to work efficiently in a cross-functional team environment, translating abstract ideas into concrete design workflows.
- Experience in designing for responsive web, mobile, applications, UX, GUI, and all relevant offline and online marketing strategies throughout the customer journey.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Figma, and designing for UX and GUI, along with experience in illustration, video, icons, and familiarity with 3D design tools such as Blender, Unreal Engine, or AI tools like Midjourney.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams and achieve outstanding results.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Extensive experience in leadership, team-building, and delegation, managing a design team effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to creating distinctive designs that support our brand's success with global travelers.
