Role Overview
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing designs that articulate Omio's vision and brand identity throughout the customer journey. Collaborating with the design teams in Marketing and Product Design, you will shape our distinctive and contemporary brand expression. Your mission is to establish an iconic travel tech brand that transforms travel experiences and adds a touch of magic to every journey. Your expertise will guide the creation of visually compelling brands across all platforms, from marketing to product design, overseeing the design process from strategic planning to final execution. You possess the ability to translate user insights into innovative and unique brand designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creative vision for brand design, ensuring consistent visual expression throughout the user journey.
- Develop innovative concepts that bring ideas to life and challenge design boundaries.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to strategize and produce a variety of modern design assets that engage our audience and enhance performance.
- Analyze user insights, consumer behavior, and industry trends to create unique brand experiences.
- Design impactful and distinctive visuals alongside a talented team of designers, user researchers, animators, content specialists, and illustrators.
- Establish comprehensive design guidelines that define the brand experience for travelers, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all channels.
- Create a robust tactics library to maintain brand consistency and scale design efforts.
- Provide guidance and inspiration to teams on industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to enhance design processes and deliver cutting-edge visual designs.
- Mentor and inspire the design community at Omio, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in design within a tech company, marketing agency, or related field.
- Proven experience in directing complex solutions for digital e-commerce products and brand initiatives.
- Collaborative experience with Marketing, Product, Product Design, and Engineering teams to understand requirements and exceed expectations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate creative visions, concepts, and solutions to stakeholders.
- Ability to work efficiently in cross-functional teams, translating abstract ideas into actionable design projects.
- Experience in designing for responsive web, mobile applications, UX, GUI, and all relevant marketing tactics across the customer journey.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Figma, and experience with UX and GUI design, as well as familiarity with illustration, video, icons, and 3D design tools such as Blender or Unreal Engine.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to achieve exceptional results in cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
- Extensive leadership experience, including team-building and delegation, managing a design team effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to creating distinctive designs that enhance our brand's success with global travelers.
