Data Protection Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Data Protection Specialist to support and drive internal projects and data protection initiatives. As the central point of contact for data protection issues within specific business areas, you will contribute significantly to the development and compliance of our data protection standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned business areas regarding data protection matters, providing independent advice on practical solutions, particularly when implementing new tools, systems, processes, data-driven business models, and supporting their documentation.
- Create and update binding data protection standards for the HARTMANN GROUP.
- Independently handle and document data protection requests, design and review data protection-related contracts, and conduct data protection audits.
- Support the Head of Data Protection in developing the data protection management system of the HARTMANN GROUP, involving interface functions.
- Design and conduct training sessions and workshops on various data protection topics.
- Identify, assess, and present current data protection risks to data protection coordinators within the HARTMANN GROUP.
Requirements:
- Completed degree in law, business law, business informatics, or a comparable education with recognizable references to data protection.
- Several years of professional experience in data protection are required. Certifications as a data protection officer or other data protection-related certifications (e.g., GDD, CIPP/E) are advantageous.
- Knowledge in the field of data protection law, especially GDPR and BDSG, as well as other relevant data protection regulations and audit execution.
- Understanding of IT-technical relationships and the ability to present them clearly, as well as proficient MS-Office user skills.
- Strong interest in digitalization and associated legal issues. High willingness and ability to familiarize oneself with new legal areas and issues.
- Very good analytical, conceptual, and structured way of working combined with a confident appearance, diplomatic skill, and assertive presentation of solutions.
- Fluent in German and very good English skills.
